Am I going to lose any specific midi capabilities by picking Reaper over Cubase? Can anyone tell me specifically why? I'm looking at Reaper because of the better price, stability, and not having to use a stupid dongle. My question is: a lot of people say that Cubase is the gold standard for midi sequencing and working with VSTs for midi. I'm mainly going to be using orchestral instrument VSTs (Garritan Personal Orchestra and World Instruments they're not the best sounding, but have an amazing array of samples for a great price). Remember that for most themes, or even for functionalitys sake on default REAPER, you may want to activate the clickable icon for folder tracks to.
